Dandelion arts and crafts activity at Freedom2Choose

Coming up on Saturday 8th May 2021 arts and crafts session, Freedom2Choose young people can make their own Dandelion flower with team member Tessie.

Everyone should have some of the resources in your pack labelled for this activity.

If taking part in the activity, your child will need:

  • cotton buds

  • PVA glue

  • pencil

  • pair of scissors

Tessie and team are looking forward to having everyone join in at Saturday’s session!

From social and recreational group-based activities to enjoying what the local community has to offer, Freedom2Choose offers these young people vital opportunities to social, feel part of a community and so much more.

The latest exciting activities programme schedule for May - June 2021 is now available.

It’s vital young people aged 16-30 in Belfast and surrounding areas with additional needs can regularly access structured opportunities to:

  • socialise with others

  • tackle social isolation worsened by Covid pandemic

  • develop and learn new skills

  • feel part of a community

Family Voice Hub services available week commencing Monday 12th April

Yoga: Monday 12th April, 7:00pm-8:00pm.

Due to demand we are delighted to announce that we are running a further 3 weeks of Yoga on Monday 12th, 19th & 26th April.

The perfect opportunity to chat and information share with other parents.

As well as Yoga, Autonomie parents can this week join our popular Tea-tastic Tuesday social hub.

Family Voice Hub Co-Ordinator Sharon Quinn, (who is also an Autonomie parent with experience) has this to say to parents raising a child or young person with additional needs:

“As a parent it is important to take a little break and spend some time talking to each other.

“So, grab a cuppa and join me and other Autonomie Parents for some light-hearted chat, craic and giggles at this particularly challenging time.”

This week’s Virtual Drop-in sessions are running as usual with 2 sessions on Wed 14th Apr 7.00pm - 9.00pm and Thurs 15th April 11.00am - 1.00pm.

Whether you need a listening ear, need practical advice or signposting, this confidential service is free to use and is there to offer you practical and emotional support.

Young people excited for Latest Wee Critters Adventures

Freedom2Choose is delighted to welcome back Allan and his Wee Critters interactive animal education show on Saturday 11 April 2021 at 1.30pm.

So join in for another great interactive animal Zoom session and catch-up and find out what Scampi the Skunk, Severus Snake, Dobby the Owl, Tiggy the Hedgehog have been getting up to this Spring.

Lots of fun, interesting facts and adventures awaits.

Plus there’s more fun to be had with a further Zoom interactive activity session right after Wee Critters!
