Autonomie Volunteer Trevor Boyle Named A Lidl Community Works Local Hero

Autonomie Volunteer Trevor Boyle has been named a Lidl Community Works Local Hero

Trevor O’Boyle is among 38 winning “heroes” nominated by Lidl Northern Ireland customers to be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to causes they are passionate about in their local area.

Trevor is a founding member and volunteer of Autonomie. He has worked tirelessly to improve services for local families and looks after the day to day management of the organisation as well as coordinating volunteers.

His work plays a central role in enabling Autonomie to thrive within the local community and make the lives better for those children and young adults living with a disability. He will be honoured at an exclusive gala event on the renowned SS Nomadic in Belfast on 1 December.

Autonomie Launches New Biweekly E-Newsletter

Trustees E-Newsletter Launched

Autonomie has this week launched a new digital resource which will keep trustees up-to-date with news from Autonomie.

The biweekly e-newsletter, a new development for the charity, has gone live this week.

The publication will provide the organisation's trustees with a new way to keep updated on Autonomie's work.  

In a further move, friends of Autonomie will also receive the regular digital resource.

New Facebook Forum For Freedom2Choose Attendees

Autonomie has unveiled a new Facebook Group to make it easy for Freedom2Choose programme attendees to connect. The forum called 'Autonomie's Freedom2Choose Group' will offer a dedicated space where young people who attend our popular one-day-a-week Freedom2Choose programme can share updates and message other group members.

Latest Freedom2Choose Programme Kicks Off With Team Building Games Success

On Saturday, 17th of September, our popular Freedom2Choose programme kicked off for another fun-packed season. A group of 16 to 25-year-olds enjoyed team building games at Finaghy Youth Centre, Belfast, with next week's session, a workshop which will explore self-presentation and how to budget for your look. The Freedom2Choose programme will run each Saturday afternoon with a break for Halloween. The course resumes again on Saturday, 5th of November.

The open day is the perfect opportunity to find out about our popular Freedom2Choose Programme. 

In partnership with EA this one-day-a-week activity course which offers workshops, group activities, outings and more gives young people the chance to learn new skills, have new experiences, build new friendships and feel part of a community.
