At today’s Freedom2Choose Zoom session hosted by Aine and supported by Tessie, Bethany and Emma C young people created a sweet treat to enjoy and share with their family.
Emma C explains the session:
“We decided to start by making our cheesecakes first ahead of the session as we weren't sure how long these would take to make.
“Áine gave great step-by-step instructions to our young people checking in every now and then to insure no one was left behind.
“The young people's favourite part by far was when the cheesecakes were made and they got to taste what was left in the bowl.
“After all the cheesecakes went in to the fridge, Áine then did some group discussions on what the young people have planned over the weekend.
“Everyone loved the session and look forward to eating their cheesecakes when they've set.”
Autonomie knows that parenting a child or young person with additional needs is tough at the minute. We want parents to know that support is available to them and talking to someone can be a great emotional support.

With many young people excited to watch Children In Need and see Pudsey, this morning Áine led a Zoom a Children in Need arts and crafts Zoom session.
Áine explains more:
“We made Pudsey masks and talked about our plans to watch Children in Need tonight.
“One of our young people came prepared with pudsey ears on!
“While our paint and glue was drying we watched a YouTube video “Kindness Boomerang” about doing good deeds for people and how they make you feel and how it starts a ripple effect and people pass them on.
“Everyone did really well and listened to instructions.
“The Pudseys look great, I can’t wait to see photos of them in action later on!”
